Curie was the first woman to receive a Nobel Prize (in Chemistry) in 1911 and she lived a difficult life. The quote is powerful, as it shows an insight which can be used constructively as opposed to the often used expression: What doesnt kill you only makes you stronger. The resistance and the storms we have been through in our past are both our strengths and sources of pain.
